·         The shortest and most direct distances between the farthermost border municipal centres along these transport routes is about 100 km between the cities of Dospat and Drama, and also about 100 km between the cities of Devin and Drama, and about 150 km to the city of Kavala, situated on the Aegean Sea coast;
·         Along these two routes there are built and existing asphalt-paved roads, falling within the category of II and III class road infrastructure, which largely coincide with the so-called “ancient Thracian and Roman roads,” and for whose restoration it shall be necessary to partially continue the construction and the paving with asphalt of small sections, and to widen the already existing ones, depending on their  designated function;
